I do not like the square boxes on iTunes. I was used to have a list from which I could add all my favorites. I have, so far, been unable to discover how to do that.
Thanks for any help!

I can't stand iTunes for the last decade+, if it's your own music try Clementine...

Good god, haven't been in my Music section in a while, holy shizz, 131G in there! Yikes. I THINK there was a certain amount of metadata I added in iTunes, I wonder if that can be swept in? OTOH, not sure I want to start dealing with it until winter!

Yeah hanne, that one ALWAYS freaked me out, I'd sit there screaming... until I remembered.

Apple has messed up iTunes continually each update its less user friendly, same with GarageBand
Originally Very user friendly now other than $ is a mess , Mainstage V3.0 AUnits can be utilized with GarageBand ( nice $ too ) Never bought Logic ( Apple bought it from ? IMO humble opinion Apple should consider making their DAW's cross platform why not ego ? :whip: :upset: :snail:

I never got to try Clementine - sounds Promising or Solution to iTunes accidents !

:whip: :bonk: :coffee:

I use Clementine for playing music.

I use Kodi for playing Music Videos and Movies.

Of course music/movies bought from iTunes requires iTunes.

Both apps can be linked to existing folders in your iTunes Library or elsewhere.

Both apps play content similar to the old iTunes (like iTunes 9) way of doing things
only with a much more modern twist. :)

note: Kodi can even play Netflix and other paid content with the proper addons.
One slight downside to Kodi is app navigation. I suggest for Kodi quickly
Learning some keyboard shortcuts for it will help to save your sanity.
The latest version of Kodi requires MacOS 10.11.x +
