Post subject:  DOes anyone need very hard to find apple diagnostic tools

I have access to a suite of diagnostic tools that ARE VERY VERY hard to find. I recently signed up for a program call Applecare Help Desk Support to get these tools. The program cost was like almost $3000.00 USD. Here is what diagnostic tools they provide. Copied and pasted from the site... Msg me if you need disc images from what i have access to. I'll put it on something like BOX.net

I have access to EVERYTHING as I'm still on my old employer's GSX account. It came in handy when I was refurbing a crapload of iMacs. If you need more than just the recent ASDs, I can get them going all the way back to G3s, although many of them are available on torrent networks. You just need to know which version to use on a particular model. I had to grab a torrent to get ASD 2.1.5 as 17" 1.25ghz G4 iMacs are schizo. Some will only run 2.3.3, some will only run 2.1.5, and there's no rhyme or reason as to why. 2.1.5 wasn't even on Apple's site for some reason.

Maybe, but Apple seems to have utterly destroyed the GSX system with an update that makes it virtually impossible for me to find anything. They did away with the page that had just about every diagnostic image and have gone to a severely half-assed page that makes finding anything a chore, and even then Apple is missing a bunch of different images (ie, ASD 2.5.8 is available for a bunch of late model PPCs, but 2.6.3 is not there, which was for the last round of PPCs. What the hell?). Seems to be Apple's trend lately. What model is it for? You can probably find a version of ASD that'll do it and be more comprehensive.

Strangely, I don't think I have those, at least by number, but I have several that aren't named by number... What exact Macs are these for?

Try PM or eMail to the one that started this topic.

As far as I know, nobody here has found it, but have promises from 2 or 3 that if they find it they'll let me know. :)

That changeover came right at the same time they updated their ADC pages to their new...configuration, didn't it?

ADC is a bitch to navigate now. :(

I've been trying for days to find the ASD 3S147 and ASD 3S148...from what I understand 148 replaced 147 but neither are hanging around. I got a late 2011 MacBook Pro 15" that had water damage so I'm trying to see if it's salvageable.
