I hope you are all well and staying well??!!

how can I get rid of them? there are over 2000
I deleted them over and over and they keep returning??? :bonk: :whip:
even "on my mac", and have tried everything. as soon as I go to check trash (as an example) click on archived and they are all back. I don't need duplicates of what I want to keep and most of these I do Not want to keep :whip:

Again please stay well everyone <3. That is supposed to be/mean a heart!!

Thanks never knew what that <3 was! Best wishes.

Forget your quest, especially if gMail is your Mail Provider, as All deleted things & all Moved to an On My Mac Folder are marked as Archived, not really duplicates just listed in two places.

Mail>Preferences>Accounts>gMail>Mailbox Behaviors, what path is Trash Mailbox set to?

Thanks BD

All accounts were set to trash,
The Archive MB has 2 choices
Archive and the email address
I tried to set it to the email address but it switches back to to the archive setting???!!!
strange IMHO

Three is a erase deleted messages with 2 choices. Never and automatically.
So I am setting 1 of the addys to automatically to see if that works.

I have been having trouble finding info in help. :bonk: :whip: :fishsmack: :snail: don't which one fits better

PS the archive is listed, by choice, as gmail trash not my mac trash. I was going to ask if it was easier to delete the 2000+ messages that are not even in my mailboxes anymore, which is part of what I don't understand. ALL the deleted messages are now in the archive folder. Makes no sense to me
 :?: :o

ache ve . . .
now I just had over 5000 in trash after deleting a few from archives. Lost in space! :o

Yep, deleted files go to Archives, sounds like somehow you moved the Archives folder to the Trash Folder... & to confuse it further, they aren't even folder, just tags. login to your WebMail & see if you can make heads or tails of it there.

Don't try to delete anything in Archived.

Is Archived in the Trash, or Trash in Archived, or...?
