From our privacy policy:
Quote:
This site shall not be accessed by residents or citizens of the European Union due to GDPR requirements that this site, and probably any non-trivial site, especially one that allows user-posted content, are technically impossible to meet. If you are in the EU, do not continue browsing this site.
Given our site policies, we just assume that any user who
claims to be from the EU is probably just an embarrassed American.
Just to be on the safe side, any user who reports us to their country's GDPR enforcement division for some technical violation shall face felony prosecution in the United States for violation of the similarly absurd overreach of the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, on account of violating our terms of service. We're cautiously optimistic this will result in an uneasy Cold War like truce.
In reality, at worst your browser will lose the cookies that say you've agreed to accept cookies and that you understand that this site may run roughshod over your GDPR rights, which will result in endless popups warning you of these things. If that happens, it's not by design from our end. It's just that your cookies are messed up. Try quitting and reopening your browser.
Of course we should make an exception from people from the UK, given the awkward present circumstances.
