I applied the recent Firefox update version 61.0.1 and Khan accademy videos do not play. They show up, appear to start loading but after a mouse click achieve no resultant video play. Youtube works fine. Also, Safari works on Khan. I disabled all add ons...same result. Note: It has been awhile since going to Khan so I shouldn't assume this is related to the update of Firefox. But video's are not playing.

They play fine in that version here, but I don't have Flash installed. Try disabling Flash (as in removing it from internet plugins not turning it off in firefox, since the site will still see that flash is installed and attempt to use it if its just turned off) and reloading FF and see if they play.

There's also some about:config settings that control autoplaying video which can interfere with video playback. Easiest way to check is to fire up profile manager and create a new profile and see if they play there. If they do then it's something in about:config unfortunately.

Thanks MB! It was Ghostery. Even if I disabled it. ??? Removed it, restarted FF and now Khan vids work.

You should be able to keep ghostery. Can you not just whitelist the site that uses the Khan vids?

Ghostery probably changed something in about:config that didn't get undone until it was removed. A lot of extensions basically give you a gui front end to settings in about:config, if only in part.

But you should be able to whitelist khan academy like squishy suggests. I gave up on ghostery a while ago so I dunno. It got too porky for my systems.
