My second hand freebie iPhone 4 running iOS 6 vanished last week. It was a bit wonky but much better than my old non-smart phone, so I miss it.

To unlock the screen I had a PIN code which was also the same for the SIM. I don't remember ever setting a PIN code for the SIM, just the screen unlock PIN.

Anyway my question is this. If whoever has my iPhone puts their own SIM into it, will they get access to the contents of the phone (photos, notes, apps, mail etc)? Or will that part still be off limits to the user? Or, as they put their own SIM in, will they get access to all the phone?

I've been scanning using 'find my iPhone' via iCloud without any luck. AFAIK the phone has never been online since it vanished last Thursday.

I blocked my SIM remotely as soon as it vanished so the new user would have to put their own card in it.

AVON: It just occurred to me, that as the description of a highly sophisticated technological achievement, 'Avon's gadget works' seems to lack a certain style.
