I filled out no form, never and anything to do with this outfit... Dare I take a look at the supposed form I filled out? Is unsubscribing good or will it just confirm my eMail addy?

I recently tried calling you about the risk-free hearing aid trial you reserved with ****.com but you were unavailable. I call BS, how did she call a deaf person? Where did she get the number?

I mean a hearing aid might be nice, but $6,000.00 won't cut it... as well as the tiny batteries needing an audiology appointment to get them changed! :upset:

Where did you see this?

Where did it come from? Spammers. Just a guess though.

Unrelated to the junk, but related to hearing aids-

my parents got a phone that uses your WiFi to access a free service where someone transcribes what any caller is saying to you. They sent it back because they didn't use it that much, but if that sounds like something you can use I'll ask them how they got it.

Rich, that'd be great, been looking for a 711 device, never found one or even what it really does, but find several numbers to call... if you're deaf... LOL

Any idea if like you speak & they send text back to your computer... or to they send it to a phone, which wouldn't work?

Thanks for thinking of me Rich. :)

BD- what my parents had was an actual telephone with a decent size display on it. So what the other party on the line says gets turned into easy-to-read text. But it is a phone of its own, you have to put in a wifi network password in it to work properly.

Maybe there are other options with that program. I'll ask about it and see if they have any info so I can look it up.

This looks like the phone they had-

Someone must have told my parents about it because they are NOT tech savvy. I'm guessing it was a doctor they see.

From what I could see it was a free program. Can't vouch for that SITE, but that's the phone.

Thanks Rich, I pointed my Audio;ogist to a similar site & link to the {DF that needed filling out back on 9/29/2018... no reply.

Do you know if that phone requires a land line?

That's how my parents' phone worked, hooked physically to a land line and via wi-fi to my network which is how the 3rd person would listen in and transcribe everything. That's my understanding of it.

So IIRC you only have a cell phone now? There should be another way to do the same thing with a cell phone.
I would THINK!

Yeah, no landline... And you'd think so in this day & age.

There are apps for android phones. Could be free or low cost, then no charge thereafter:

After finding links to phones for landlines only, think I started searched for "free captioned phone for hearing impaired for cellphone?" Then found https://hamiltoncaptel.com/ which shows "Mobile Apps."

Looks like there are others. Have a look at hits for "caption apps for android cellphone."

Thanks, I think captioned was the clue google needed. :)

Yep, captioned phones = About 1,930,000 results (0.43 seconds) all relative.
