XYMer's Home away from Home

This is a really odd question but I have a project that requires me molding a 15" MBP,
I want to avoid damaging the working unit so I figured I could piece together a shell of used MBP parts.
Apple does incremental upgrades internally and externally and I haven't been up to date with all the stuff
they've been putting out.

As far as I can ascertain the it's a non retina 15" ( 15.4" ? ) MBP circa 2011 according to Everymac, would the shell parts
namely the top cover ( kb/ trackpad ) from a 2010 unit fit a bottom cover from a 2011 unit ?

Thanks, BD, I looked there and was able to narrow it down with the serial number.

Guess I'll have to see what the case parts are going to be like that Mr. Postman delivers.

Welll... seems the bottom cover will fit 2009 - 2011
But things change on the fly, originally they were to throw this MBP, now it's
being destroyed or rather made non functional by pouring a liquid on it.
Shoots Monday so it's due this week Fri

Meh, if they're gonna destroy it, give it to the Pawn Stars cast and they can go to the range and shoot it during an episode.

Wrong show, wrong channel

Actually, the Pawn Stars do shoot guns at the range on some of their episodes if there was a gun they bought during the episode.
