I think an eMac would make for a better conversion to LCD. The screens were flatter and larger, and the computers themselves were less iconic. If you were very careful you could make the change almost imperceptible. And sure enough, that was a nicely executed conversion, although I didn't like the cut on the side of the case...still, very functional and the overall result was respectful of the original. I'd be pretty proud of it if I did something that well.

As for the eMac itself...mostly good computers, but seeing one just gave me disorienting flashback to a past job and I think I need a dram of good Scotch to shake it.

Maybe they have a deal with Samsung to sell smaller variants of their overpriced and pointlessly curved LCD panels.

Though, wait, those curve the other way. Well, if Samsung can curve them one way for no particular reason, they can curve them another way (at least they have a reason for this way).

Well, you could always make an OpenGL filter that creates CRT curvature in the image. Then you could have curved on flat on curved. It'd be a NeoRetro bling!
