My Mac Classic is acting up. :P I don't have a floppy drive anywhere, so I'm unable to make new install disks.

I don't know where my discs are.... I think I could drag an old Mac with a floppy out from the garage, if I knew where the floppies were.

Maybe you can get a developers DVD that has all the early versions of the OS on it, easier than a copy of the floppies?

I don't have any 6.0.7 floppies immediately at hand, but maybe you could boot from ROM for the time being: cmd-opt-x-o

Try here. I don't know if they're full system 6 installs and couldn't see 6.0.7 but there is a 6.0.8.

Somewhere I have a disk image for 6.0.8, let me know if you want me to see if I can find it. I kept it because I once was able to help someone to "upgrade" their MacPlus so that it could run ATM 2.x. (They were running 6.0.5). I'm sure I have it stashed someplace on some disk, LOL.

I don't think I ever had 6.0.7. I think I went straight from 6.0.5 to 7.0. In any case, I don't think I have any 6.x floppies around any more :(

Does anyone have access to a floppy drive to make some disks? I'll happily reimburse you. There are plenty of sources for getting the disk images, I just amazingly have no more floppy drives in my life.

The Mac Classic has a Superdrive (1.44 MB) drive, right?

If so, I can make a couple disks. I don't have access to an 800KB drive.

Its support status is "Obsolete"? I can't believe Apple gave up on it so quickly. :P
