I've also got a stack of older ministacks that so far seem to be running ok, maybe 3 of the 9 are probably dead
and one has a balky fan. I just tired of disposable hardware these days, the old scsi enclosures I have probably
still work fine if I can find a scsi drive, LOL !
I just wanted to see what else there is, Wiebetch seems to have become something else, and I didn't even know
Macally still made hd enclosures.
I actually have a stack of the ministack fw800/400/usb 3.0/esata cases at home with a variety of drives tucked inside. However one of the cases died shortly after the warranty expired.
I made my workplace buy one of their RAID 0 fw800 cases and tucked two 2TB drives inside it as a backup solution since that option was unbelievably cheaper than buying a 4TB drive at the time.
But since he seemed leery of OWC I was trying to think of other options.
Hmm. I have a bunch of Orico cases at work, although I never could find a Firewire case (nobody ever stocked it) - the ones there are all just USB 3/eSATA because, well, USB 3 is fast enough. Unfortunately my model(s) have been discontinued. Grr. They appear to be soldiering on in 2, 4, 8, and 10 bay form. Which looks really goofy
