Whoa, the PSU is actually in the right place. Wonder how he managed that.

I would bet it involved finding the right PSU and removing the guts from the PSU case.

Looks nice. Did he mod the power supply in to the G5's power supply area? I'm assuming the Coolmaster black thing is the heat sync* (which synchronizes heat from the processor with the ambient air), no?

* Yes, I know. Give it up. Only loosers complain about speling on the intranet.

yeah would be interesting to shoot the person an email about the build process. the PSU, wired up front switch, and the fans makes it for me. be fun to make an offer for like 500 or something

I don't see any wires running to the speaker/slot fan assembly but it doesn't mean it's not just tucked away someplace.

The front panel could be connected through a custom circuit, or he could have just gutted the stock board and wired up a normal momentary-on switch / power LED in it's place.

Definitely looks like he put some work into it. Shame the ATX board doesn't extend all the way to the back panel, but I know it's virtually impossible in that tight little 2" to rewire all the ATX connectors to the G5 panel's connectors (plus the G5 only had 3 rear USB).
