Hi again,

Are you sure it's 3A222?

This is the info I have...

MacBook Pro (2011 Late 13-inch) 3s148
MacBook Pro (2011 Late 15-inch) 3s148
MacBook Pro (2011 Late 17-inch) 3s148

Edit, never mind, you said AHT, these are the big brother numbers for ASD, (Apple Service Diagnostics)

Should be from the D key, or the applications install disc 2. If you no longer have that, you can call Apple with your serial# for a replacement. There is a relatively small fee for that.

Newbie here...Found this site so I can fix my busted MacBook Pro just recently purchased from EBay. I am hoping I didn't just spend $1500 on a brick... Thank you all for sites like these.

Is it a model you can re-seat the RAM on?

Does it run long enough to use Console to check the System log?

Yeah, someone recently bought a lampshade iMac (iMac G4) from a goodwill store for $5, it was crashing and freezing constantly. Turned out one of the sticks of RAM had died. Pulled it, system was stable, scrounged around and found more RAM for it, and it worked fairly well. Of course I also had to replace the optical drive since that had also died, whee, but I had a pile of old equipment due to be recycled at work so I just yanked an IDE drive out of the pile and voila, it had a working optical drive again (so I could update it from 10.2 to 10.5).

If your Mac isn't working right and it's a new purchase, I wouldn't really mess with trying to fix what's wrong unless the guy sold it to you "for parts" or mentioned the problems in the auction description. If it was represented as a fully working system and it's not fully working, then back it should go to the seller. My concern is that if you attempt to fix what's wrong then the seller will claim that your actions are what broke it, since he's undoubtedly a scumbag trying to scam you.

Hello,

I need to find ASD156. I have a 2013 MacBook Air with 4 different issues that I think are logic board related. Can anyone provide details for ASD 3S156? TIA.
