I'm testing a Photoshop plugin that's been dead since 2002, and runs in Mac OS 8.1 or higher, as well as Mac OS X up to Adobe Photoshop CS2. It's installed correctly, but it only appears in the Filter menu on OS X, but not in Mac OS 9, in Photoshop 5.0.2 or any higher version.

Anybody have a clue as to why, and how to solve this conundrum?

Is it also located where OS9 expects it?

Definitely. I can see it in the Plugins folder in the root folder of the application, along with all the other plugins installed. It just doesn't appear in the Filter menu.

It's the ImageAlign Pro plugin, v1.2.

ImageAlign for Quark and Dreamweaver must be a different, since the company that made this plugin only made it for Photoshop. So, no idea why it doesn't show up in Photoshop on Mac OS 9?

Sorry, all my extensions show & can't figure out what it'd be... is it maybe dependent on some later QT or are you at 9.2.2?

It requires QuickTime 4 or higher, and I'm running 5.0.2 on Mac OS 9.2.2, and 7.6.4 in Mac OS X 10.4.11.

It removes perspective distortion from digital photos, plus barrel correction, skewing and rescaling.

Did you try for a Reinstall
There's nothing to reinstall; it's just a matter of copying the plugin from the .dmg to the Plugins folder of Photoshop.

Don't mind him, he was just a spammer.

He still is, but he'll never spam here again.

I wouldn't be surprised if a sizable percentage of the spam here is from the same individual. Proxy servers know no national boundaries, though it's undoubtedly cheaper to setup one in some countries.

Spammers tend to be a pretty bullheaded lot. I think it helps their "numbers" to access forums other spammers don't reach; just think, we're probably part of the feather in that guy's cap.

The last two were the same guy, pimping the sites on the same IP probably to fluff search engine rankings, but I can't rule out boneheaded advertising or malicious activity. Fortunately I just don't have time to investigate all the spammer bullshit I encounter in my daily existence.
