Note that you must use the updates that correspond to the country/language of the OS you originally installed. You cannot use Mac OS North American English and then update it with the International English updaters; it will not work and you'll be wasting your time.

I think one of the reasons I got my job was because I wasn't phased when they started asking about Windows 95, Windows NT 4, and MacOS 9.

Come to find out they don't have any of those systems. They thought there were still systems lurking around here and there, but apparently they had managed to excise them piecemeal the previous year, just didn't realize they had done it since it wasn't a concerted effort.
