iFixit has an interesting tear-down of the MacBook Pro 15″ Core i5
http://www.ifixit.com/blog/2010/04/macb ... -teardown/
they found a Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chip-set
http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/ ... erview.htm
That chip set seems to be capable of a lot more than Apple is letting it do :classic-eek: hmmmnn
step by step pics, one new thing is Tri-Wing screws. Torx screws are gone 8-)

Maybe too many people have Torx screwdrivers, so they are no longer effective in keeping the meddling masses out of Apple's precious computers.

I can't wait until they move to slotted screws when everybody has tri-wing screwdrivers, because by that point everyone will have thrown away their slotted screwdrivers in favor of philips, torx, and tri-wings.

A few years ago Apple filed a patent for a computer that didn't use screws: it would be glued together. That'll keep the meddling fools out of Steve's hardware! Until we all buy hacksaws...

Amazing. Just before reading that, I thought I'd post something devilishly humorous about not using screws or fasteners any more, everything glued instead. Jobs beat me to it.
